This is our second visit to this well-managed and well-designed campground. Access to sites is easy. We actually went out of our way to come back. The large grassy sites are placed so that you always have shade, either from trees or from your coach awning. The country setting is quiet and includes a lake and dock with paddle boats for use by campers. Property and facilities are immaculate. Owners are friendly and extremely helpful. Delightful experience. We will definitely be back.

First I would like to thank Todd, Karen for helping us the last minute due to vehicle problems. This is one of the best kept campgrounds we have visited, well kept, clean, friendly, I will recommend this campground to all campers passing through or wanting a great place to camp.

This was one of the nicest campgrounds I have EVER been to. It was so well taken care of, the staff was attentive and fun! The people who were camping all around us loved being there too and it showed! I have been camping since our experience at Country Campground and they have definitely spoiled me for other places!

By blind luck i had the opportunity to call this campground on somewhat short notice. They had room and moreover i will never stay anywher else if in the area again. Such wonderful owners. The entire campground, from the grass to the bathroom and shower facilities are immaculate. This is an incredibly peaceful and quiet place. The two fenced playground areas for the little ones are actually stunning to see. This is quite the gem and i wont be telling a soul because i want it to be mine only. So shhhhh...dont tell anyone!!

What a wonderful place to stay!! When we arrived, Elwood escorted us to our site and guided us perfectly to a parking place. The campground is kept immaculately clean and neat. Todd is constantly trimming trees, mowing grass or performing some other maintenance. The restrooms and laundry are also immaculate. Karen and Lois clean them several times a day.
We will be back even though we live in California.

We stayed for two nights and found all amneties to be above average. Bathroom, rec hall and other facilities were all very clean. Sites were level and easy to park our RV. Personel was helpful and friendly. Loved the paddleboats even though a little hard to park after use because of the lily pads and other growth. It was fun to try to get it straight into its slot. Suggested place for dinner (West Forty) had good food and good music. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time! The owners were down-right awesome! My 6 kids had one of their best camping trips ever. They all enjoyed playing at the two playgrounds and with all the extra sporting things too. Their favorite was going out on the paddle boats and sighting turtles, fish, and even beavers! We had a wonderful time here and will definitely try to come here again next year!

We were heading up north for a wedding & couldn't get last minute boarding for our dogs so had to camp. I went on-line & searched & found the site for Country Campground. They assured us they could fit our big rig & they weren't kidding! We fit with room to spare! The campground is neat & clean & quiet. If you're a loon-atic like me, THERE WERE LOONS ON THE LAKE!!!!! I was in heaven! The owners were very friendly & helped make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely be back when we can stay longer!!!!

I was roaming around online today and decided to visit this site to bring back memories of our stay at Country Campgrounds in July 2012. When we arrived at the campground I had an injured foot from the previous day that needed medical attention. We were not towing a car so the lovely daughter of the owners drove me to the medical clinic. Broken foot. Darn. We enjoyed our stay there despite this injury. The day we decided to depart the park our RV broke down. We had to stay in Country Campground for a week longer while Tiffin Motorcoach decided how they were going to repair our brand new Allegro Bus. The owners of the RV park were MOST accommodating and helpful with our dilemma. We could not have been in any better a spot for our long delay waiting for repairs. These folks are absolutely the most hospitable. If we are ever in Detroit Lakes again we will definitely stay at Country Campground. Clean, quiet, great for children, well maintained, great people. 5 stars!

This is a wonderful campground! We stayed here on Sunday, Sept 23 2012 (AND watched the Vikings win!!) and enjoyed our stay very much. The walk down to the lake and being able to sit on the swing and watch the wildlife was very relaxing. Showers were wonderful, too!
We will definitely remember this place and stay again in our journeys thru Northern Minnesota. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
